So our dorms are dry again, if a bit tea-scented now, most of our belongings salvageable, the alcoholic gave in, and the detentions have ended.

Oh my God, that was horrible. I ended up confessing my love to some nasty Hufflepuff first year. I seriously wanted to die after that wore off.
